After being away from home for a week and celebrating my baby sister's birthday this week, it's been a little bit of a struggle getting back into my everyday routine. Over the years I've realized that in order for me to get back into momentum I have to get absolutely everything clean, organized and ready to go. I make a list of everything that needs to get done and begin tackling. The biggest task on this list is usually unpacking and organizing my closet (I go through a filtering process at least twice a month). With the weather being so hot and cold lately I decided to start putting away some of my colder weather pieces (happy to get some space back) and leave out only a few essentials. Happy to say that this maroon wool vest made the cut. It's thick enough for the afternoon chill, but light enough to be comfortable when 68 degrees doesn't exactly call for a fur parka.
ther pieces making the cut: comfy scarves. They can be worn a numerous amount of ways and are just so cute when worn alone or layered. You really can't go wrong with a blanket scarf, and this one here from SoCal Gems is available (on sale) in the cutest color palette. The pale colors of this scarf made it so easy for me to pair it with a variety of different pieces while I was away. I never got bored of the styling opportunities and my suitcase was light. A definite win win in my book.
