There are certain pieces in a woman's closet that stay current regardless of time. I've always seen a classic pump, button-up blouse, a good pair of jeans, blazer and a-line skirt as these timeless staples that every girl should have. Something about each of these pieces has drawn me to them over the years. I wasn't wearing heels in high school, but my style certainly consisted of skinny jeans, blouses, blazers and as a pump substitute: pointed flats. Eight years later, nothing's changed. I've loved how easy it's always been to throw on one of these pieces and instantly make an outfit look polished. Easy and polished? Yes, please!

Today, I pulled three of those items on my list for an effortless feminine look. Too much of a good thing is a good thing, always. Since I love the mix of floral and grid, I mixed them here. Mixing color, texture, and shape is what I love! There's just no room for being timid or boring! Have a little fun!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Stripes and florals. It's by no means a groundbreaking innovation come summer, but it certainly is my favorite. I love the mixing of a neutral print (stripes) and more feminine print (florals) to achieve a more interesting outfit. I went with this blue pinstripe over the shoulder top ( has the cutest bow detail at the sleeves!) & cherry blossom print skirt. With the skirt being a fit and flare cut, I usually go with tops that don't hold too much volume, but reached for this top for a more flirty look. A little dressy, a little girly- just the way I like it!

Happy Friday, everyone!
